How we handle data
Short version: we collect requests made by AI crawlers to your site, and nothing about the people who visit it.
What do you collect from my site?
Requests made by known AI crawlers: the time, the page, the HTTP method and status, the size of the response, and the user agent the crawler sent.
Do you see my visitors?
No. The collector runs on your own server and drops everything that is not a known AI crawler before anything is sent. Your visitors' requests never leave your machine. This is not a policy we promise to follow — it is where the filter sits.
What about IP addresses?
A crawler's address arrives over an encrypted connection and is turned into a salted hash the moment it reaches us. We never write it down in a readable form, and we cannot recover it afterwards.
How long do you keep it?
Individual crawler requests are kept for 90 days, then rolled up into daily totals. Anything we ever bill for would be kept whole, because that is a financial record.
Can I get it all back, or delete it?
Yes to both, from your own account, without asking us. If that stops being true, this page is wrong and we want to know.
What do you do with my email address?
Sign you in, send you password resets, and — when it exists — send the weekly summary you asked for. We do not sell it and we do not send marketing to it.
Do you use AI on my data?
To write the weekly summary in plain language, and to guess what your site is about so we ask sensible questions of the answer engines. Every number in that summary is computed in the database first and handed to the model — the model writes sentences, it never works out figures.
Questions about any of this are welcome. We are early, and this page will get longer as the product does.
